On a beautiful day in June, a woman and her infant son sit in Central Park. Moments later, as the mother dozes in the sun, the child is stolen right from his stroller. Blessed Abduction (published by iUniverse) by Vincent di Fondi will have readers contemplating coincidence and the moments that change a life forever.

After living briefly with the gypsies who abducted him, baby Anthony is sold to a wealthy, childless couple in San Francisco and raised to adulthood in a life full of love and privilege. But Anthony is forever haunted by the mystery that surrounds his past. When he finally discovers the truth, his shock and disgust lead him as far from his life in San Francisco as possible.

Though Anthony eventually comes to forgive his adoptive parents and return to the Bay Area, the people he meets during his time away irrevocably change the course of things to come. There is no way for him to know that his return will bring pain and death for those he loves the most. There is no way to predict that a life begun in Central Park could lead to an Indian Reservation in Costa Rica.

Readers will enjoy the twists and turns these characters must endure. Around every corner appears a new direction guided by the past and molded for the future. It’s up to the reader to decide whether these things happen by chance or are all part of a master plan. Either way, they make for a good story.
